Well apparently it is a chair in which according to some people all Popes when they get elected must sit on. The chair has a hole in the center, were the Popes are touched in their genitals by someone in order to determine if they are males. This has to be done because the church does not want to have women as Popes only men are allowed. The chair was made after Pope Joan was elected. It was believe that this Pope was a woman that posed as a man in the early years to be able to rule. Believe it or not this is nothing more than a myth, it is not proven that this Pope Joan existed. Still I heard of this and thought it was weird so I decided to read more about it.
